At this intimate farm, expect to find, among others, donkeys, ponies, cows, pygmy, cashmere and Le Rove goats (a curly-horned breed typical of the region), sheep, pigs, geese, chickens, ducks, peacocks, koi carp and even boars.

Many of the animals roam freely (visitors are not permitted to bring their dogs for this reason). Children can feed and stroke them, take pony rides and even milk the cows.

The four hectare / ten acre park includes play and picnic areas and a snack bar. The Parc Animalier L'Arche de Méo is ideal for very small children and at its best on cooler days when the animals are less likely to be sleepy. Allow about an hour for a visit.

Where: Parc Animalier L'Arche de Méo, route de Saint Andiol, 13940 Mollèges.

How to get there: From Avignon, take the A7 motorway leaving at the Avignon Sud exit. Continue in the direction of Châteaurenaud until Saint Andiol, then turn right toward Mollégès.
